Last week was a busy one at the Pole. Not only were preparations for holiday festivities underway, as they were everywhere, but there was continued fire team/ERT training, the detector needed plenty of attention, and the station suffered a power outage—only 5 seconds long, but it amounted to over 6 hours of work in its aftermath. Not a welcome holiday present. But the station welcomed some visitors last week. A Basler plane arrived, as did the folks from Arctic Trucks, who got a tour of the station and who also gave tours of their special vehicles.
