
A spectacular display of auroras graced the sky above the Pole last week, and IceCube winterover Camille was poised to capture a nice shot. It can be a little challenging to remain still for outdoor photos—for humans, but apparently for the South Pole Telescope, as well, as evidenced below. The week ended on a more frantic note, as the station hunkered down to work on their contribution to the Winter International Film Festival of Antarctica. As in previous years, they have 48 hours from receiving the specific instructions for that year to plan and complete their 5-minute film, so…how could that not feel frantic?
