Winterovers have been waiting for the sun for many months and the growing anticipation was heightened this week when the temperature reached a frigid -104 °F. With summer arriving soon and the sun on the horizon, winterovers are enjoying the last month of night skies. Winterover Martin braved the cold and captured stunning images of auroras dancing in the twilight. Winterovers had a busy week of repairing, restarting, and replacing many of the systems at the IceCube Lab. Once all systems were running smoothly, winterovers enjoyed an 8-ball pool tournament and an Antarctic cruise ship tour talk.
