Week 23 at the Pole

Last week’s outdoor photographs from the Pole have gone from colorful to more black and white (with some red accents) thanks to a bright moon and no auroras in sight. It was a relatively quiet week. IceCube’s winterovers were busy doing test runs in preparation for the start of the next physics run season. The station had their monthly emergency response drill, which involved battling a (pretend) fire and tending to a (pretend) burn victim.
