Despite the sun having officially set, there was still enough light last week to keep working outside for a bit. IceCube’s winterovers, however, had a chore that required more than ambient light—they needed a vehicle to haul their equipment, which required temperatures above -70 °F to avoid freezing of the vehicle’s hydraulics. It was a cold week, with multiple days hovering around -80 °F, but eventually the cold snap broke, and they were able to get their outdoor work completed. Indoors, routines have been developing for leisure activities. It turns out the station gym is just big enough for last week’s new sport, wiffle ball.
