The sun is low, but it’s still there…hanging just above the IceCube Lab in a rather cloudy sky. The sun will be setting soon enough however. In the meantime, it provides plenty of light to see what’s what outside. The hypertats (temporary living quarters) used during the IceCube Upgrade’s construction have shadows slowly creeping up their faces while snow drifts accumulate around them. With all the fresh flags set out in new flag lines and ready to lead the way, the winterovers are well prepared for trekking around in the darkness once winter does set in.
