Week 37 at the Pole

Sunrise is slowly coming along at the South Pole, with some refracted light showing over the horizon on clear days. The impending orange glow appears to be approaching the ICL in the image above. But some days last week were windy, with blowing snow blocking the view. The station celebrated the change of season with a tropical-themed sunrise dinner over the weekend, complete with a fresh salad (we know where the greens came from). There was also time for entertainment, if you consider pondering a Rubik’s Cube fun.
