  • This position involves software development in support of the design and construction of the IceCube Upgrade, an extension of the IceCube Neutrino Observatory located at the South Pole. The successful candidate will work with IceCube detector operations and IceCube Upgrade teams to contribute to development of embedded software for detector modules as well as other software needs of the Upgrade project.   • The Wisconsin IceCube Particle Astrophysics Center (WIPAC) manages IceCube operations and the IceCube Upgrade project. We are seeking a Project Controls Analyst experienced with Microsoft Project and earned value management. The Project Controls Analyst reports to the IceCube Upgrade Project Manager and is responsible for maintaining the Upgrade Project's cost and schedule and providing data for monthly reports to stakeholders.   • The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Uppsala University in Sweden seeks to appoint a tenure track position as assistant professor (associate senior lecturer) in experimental astroparticle physics. The position can be held for a maximum of six years. Applicants who have obtained a doctoral degree or achieved the equivalent competence in five years or less prior to the end of the application period will be given priority.
