Museum Connections
- The Adler Planetarium in Chicago offers a captivating display of neutrino-capture events. This scale model of the AMANDA detector shows the time sequence and intensity of the light produced when charged particles pass through the ice at the South Pole.
- The Exploratorium in San Francisco has a long history with AMANDA and IceCube. For the International Polar Year (2007-2008) an IceCube engineer and winterover, Claire Pettersen, will participate as a polar reporter.
- UW Space Place: IceCube is prominently displayed at the UW Space Place, a community astronomy museum where you can see images from the South Pole and a digital optical module (DOM).
